Domain experts such as physicians generate data, research questions, and interpretations of emergent patterns in data.

Methodology experts such as data mining researchers identify existing and novel methods to "detect the expected, and discover the unexpected."

Students and post-docs engage in mentored research and help to push the boundaries of our understanding to new frontiers.
